Ramatuelle is primarily known for its stunning beaches. The main beach is Pampelonne - a glorious 8km long crescent shaped beach that is home to over twenty well known beach clubs - the most renowned of which is the famous Club 55. Other beaches include L'Escalet , Cap Taillat (where Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was partially filmed) and Bonne Terrace. Some beaches are very busy and great for people watching, others are very secluded and peaceful - there really  is something for everyone!

 

Many people like to rent a boat and find a tranquil cove to anchor and enjoy the glistening Mediterranean water. 

 

The village of Ramatuelle is very pretty, with excellent cafes and bars, and a delightful market on Thursdays and Sundays.

 

We are also very close (approx 5 minutes drive) to St Tropez. Ever since Brigitte Bardot put it on the map in the 1950's, it has been highly popular. Plenty of wonderful bars and restaurants, a thriving night life, fabulous shops and a famous and not to be missed market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

There are many beautiful hill top villages that are well worth visiting, such as Gassin and Grimaud, both approx 15 minutes away.

For the sporting enthusiasts, cycling is always popular in this part of the world, and there are excellent tracks in the hills and forests behind the house for walking or running. Golf and Tennis are easily accessible, as it the fast growing sport of Padel tennis.

There are a multitude of local vineyards that can be visited , for tasting or buying.
